WarGames Announced for WrestleWar!

After being brutally attacked by The Dangerous Alliance at A-Town Showdown, Dusty Rhodes received a hero's welcome at Clash of the Champions XIX. Rhodes had backup this time too, being accompanied by his son Dustin as well as Ricky Steamboat and Sting. Thankfully protected from another heinous attack, Rhodes used his interview time with Jesse Ventura to make an announcement on Nick Bockwinkel's behalf. At WrestleWar, The Dangerous Alliance would be locked inside WarGames, battling WCW's finest in a fight for World Championship Wrestling's future!

Badd Company Become Champions

Clash of the Champions XIX opened in eventful fashion, as Jushin Liger and Marcus Alexander Bagwell defended the United States Tag Titles against Badd Company in a gripping tag team opener. Ultimately, new champions were crowned, as Teddy Long distracted referee Nick Patrick while Pat Tanaka nailed Bagwell with a title belt shot to the head. Unfortunately, there was no kicking out of that and so in their very first attempt, Tanaka and Paul Diamond had become champions in World Championship Wrestling!

Hart Makes His Choice

After weeks of speculation, Bret 'The Hitman' Hart finally made his choice at A-Town Showdown. The WCW World Heayvweight Champion took Dustin Rhodes' place in the main event, standing alongside Sting for an eletric Tag Team Title tilt. Arn Anderson and Bobby Eaton ultimately survived with their belts, but not without controversy. Hart and Sting were initially awarded the win as the latter pinned Eaton but sadly, the decision was reversed due to Anderson being launched over the top rope. Though they remain champions, The Dangerous Alliance are now on the ropes, with Hart making the choice to fight alongside WCW's all-stars.

Dusty Rhodes Medical Update

Dusty Rhodes' triumphant return to The Omni did not go as planned. Unfortunately, The Dangerous Alliance quickly interrupted Rhodes' interview, attacking the 'The American Dream' after Sunday's opening match. Thankfully, Dustin Rhodes and Sting prevented things from going any further, with the former accompanying his father's ambulance ride to the hospital. We're happy to announce that Rhodes will be okay, leaving The Omni without any broken bones and instead, a mere wound on his head. That doesn't change The Dangerous Alliance's intentions though, which Nick Bockwinkel will continue to wrestle with in the coming weeks and months.

In the dramatic main event of SuperBrawl II, Bret Hart ultimately submitted Lex Luger, impressively claiming the WCW World Heavyweight Title via Sharpshooter. Hart even single-handedly avoided Harley Race's attempted interference, now leading WCW into a new era as their fearless fighting champion. In World Championship Wrestling, 'The Hitman' is now king, but is there a Dangerous Alliance to fear with Paul E. Dangerously?!

Bagwell & Liger Shock The Young Pistols!

In their very first match together, Marcus Alexander Bagwell and Jushin Thunder Liger became United States Tag Team Champions, stunning The Young Pistols with an upset win. The tag title tilt opened SuperBrawl II, with Bagwell and Liger proving to be a surprisingly natural tandem, showing great chemistry in exciting action throughout. In the end, Liger pinned Armstrong, starting SuperBrawl with a shocking title change!

Nick Bockwinkel Named WCW Commissioner

As World Championship Wrestling enters a new era in 1992, fans will now be turning to the iconic Nick Bockwinkel for their answers. A four time AWA World Heavyweight Champion, Bockwinkel is the new WCW Commissioner, making decisions weekly in the wild world of WCW. Bockwinkel is an inimitable name in the wrestling landscape, earning his own place in the history books as one of the sport's classiest champions.
